Eat UP: Candy Bacon

This was a fun snack to make. It is perfect for Super Bowl Sunday or even Valentine’s Day, which is coming up pretty soon.


  • Black pepper
  • Maple Syrup
  • Honey Hype
  • Bacon
  • Brown Sugar


  • Cooking sheet
  • Aluminium foil
  • Grill rack
  • Basting Brush
  • Mixing bowl


  • Preheat over to 425 degrees
  • Cut bacon strips in half
  • Lay a sheet of foil on to the cooking sheet
  • Place grill rack on top of foil
  • Lay bacon strips on top of rack
  • Pour syrup into mixing bowl
  • Dip brush into syrup and begin to paint onto bacon
  • Once all of the bacon is generously covered in syrup, begin to sprinkle brown sugar over the bacon strips
  • Then put black pepper
  • Followed by Honey Hype or any other kind of spice that you want to add
  • Place cooking sheet with bacon in the oven and reduce temperature to 400 degrees
  • Let cook for 15 minutes and remove from oven
  • Flip the bacon strips over
  • Repeat basting and spicing process
  • Put back into the oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
  • Remove from oven
  •  Using tongs, remove bacon from grill rack and place on serving platter to cool
  • Serve and enjoy
