Eat UP: Chicken Wrapped Cheese

This dish was tricky to make but simple at the same time. I have made fried cutlets before but never rolled them up and finding the right thickness for the cheese slices was a challenge. All in all, they came out great.


  • 1 pound of chicken breasts, sliced thin (for this, I just bought them from Publix and sliced them in half myself
  • Flour
  • Eggs (1 per each cutlet)
  • Bread Crumbs
  • 4 inch toothpicks
  • Mozzarella or Provolone cheese, sliced thin


  • Turn fryer on! (I say this because as you will see in the video, I forgot to do this.)
  • Tenderize each chicken cutlet
  • Place cheese in the center of the cutlet and roll
  • Push toothpicks through the rolled cutlet
  • Cover in flour, dip in egg wash and then bread crumbs
  • Place in deep fryer, at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
  • Let cool and serve
